VOLTERA Updates [Mar. 1st, 2006|08:51 am]

VOLTERA are a multi-faceted four piece currently residing in Melbourne Australia.

Deep from the underground, their sound is a sophisticated, emotive and distinct
manipulation of the darker genres. Voltera draw on their collective musical tastes to create an electric twist on metal and industrial sounds with a predominant female vocal ranging, from dark and melodic to a guttural bawl, delivering a powerful and intense live performance. Coupled with their unusual stage antics give them a dynamic approach to live music.

Recently, Voletra have been the support act for international acts such as KMFDM
(hard rock/ industrial) and Covenant, and playing at the Globe SK8 party bringing
their dark and epic sound to a wider audience. Thus gaining the attention of
Volcom music, who featured their demo in the 2005 Vans Warped tour.

This year Voltera will be venturing to the USA to play the West Coast leg
of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, followed by additional USA shows with dates yet
to be announced.

Just enough time to breathe... [May. 5th, 2004|03:08 pm]
With the Covenant conundrum behind us, Solenoid is now focused on more live shows, this time the way we want it. Unfortunately, we had to tone down our show for the Covenant gig due to time & venue restrictions.

We are currently working a few new tracks to complete the album hopefully by the end of the year, and working on performing accoustic sets of most of our material which should be interesting.

Whilst doing this we must somehow try to include music videos (which we have 75 percent completed), gigs, a tour of sorts (we have Adelaide banging on our doors already), and recording a side project with many contrasting influences (PJ Harvey, Manson, NIN, Radiohead, ELO, Cradle Of Filth and classical) with male and female vocals which will (hopefully) appeal to the mainstream.

We may also reqiure a female fill-in bassist for a show or two.

CAN YOU PLAY BASS? PROPERLY?

If so, let us know and we shall keep you in mind.

MissingLink???? [Mar. 16th, 2004|11:45 am]
Here I am, a stomach ache in my head, a ringworm bseide me, and a blind disorganisation.

BludgeForTheDole - the bain of my existence.

I am supposed to be recycling computers, but I'm afraid all I am doing is breathing in recycled foodstuffs.

I want to die.

Funny though, I never thought being this bored would drive to to look for employment so intently. I plan to be self-employed and off MissingLink within 2 weeks.....

FUCK THIS FOR A JOKE

The seeds have been planted. [Feb. 24th, 2004|04:06 pm]
Hi everyone.

This is an invite for ya'll to come along to ACHTUNG! on March 7th at Inflation.

There will much great talent displayed from bands (Tankt, Angel Theory, The Crystalline Effect), psycho DJ's (Ahkenaten...hehe), and power transmission with the ever glamorous Mistress Elythia inflicting more pain than a Centrelink queue.

Yours truly will be making a cameo appearance with Tankt singing a track off their new album entitled Soviet.

Also on the night there will be merchandise available, including Solenoid's debut EP : De-Humanize and limited edition copies of the forthcoming single, reBOUND.

And for some big news, most have heard that a big international act 'MAY' be coming to Melbourne......

.....guess who has been asked to 'HYPOTHETICALLY' support them????

I STRESS THEREFORE I AM.

----->Vavoom!
